We're Adding More Close-In Parking
We're excited about the new Terminal 2 Parking Plaza, which will bring new technologies, convenience and accessibility to travelers.
More Close-in Parking
The current demand for close-in, convenient parking has been challenging, and that demand is only expected to increase. When the Parking Plaza opens in summer 2018, it will provide a net increase of 1,800 parking stalls over today’s surface parking.
Talk about tech savvy: The Parking Plaza will integrate state-of-the-art parking technology that will allow motorists to reserve spaces in advance, find available parking spaces, and streamline payment.
The Parking Plaza is expected to reduce the total number of vehicle trips for those who park at the airport versus being dropped off and picked up. Also, smart parking technology will allow you to reserve spaces and streamline payment, reducing air emissions caused by vehicles that are circulating and idling while searching for an available parking space.
Throw out what you know about boring, bland parking structures. The Parking Plaza will featuring an aesthetically pleasing design with open light wells, glass-front elevators and cutting-edge public art.

August 2015Coastal Commission PermitThe California Coastal Commission approved a California Coastal Development Permit allowing the airport to move forward with the Parking Plaza.
